Hungarian Representative Visits Syriac Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem, Discusses Regional Affairs and Collaborative Initiatives

Jerusalem-Holy Land: His Eminence Bishop Mar Antimos Jacques Yacoub, the Patriarchal Vicar of the Diocese of Jerusalem, Jordan, and the rest of the Holy Lands, received Her Excellency Mrs Rita Herenescar, the Representative of Hungary in Ramallah, at his headquarters in the Monastery of Saint Mark on 15 November 2023.
The meeting delved into an insightful conversation regarding the ongoing crisis in the country and the prevailing regional situation, with both parties expressing hope for divine intervention to bring about security, peace, and stability.
Amidst the discussions, attention was directed towards the Hungarian Help Foundation, and the latest developments of its projects and programs were thoroughly reviewed. The necessity of continued efforts to serve common interests was underscored, emphasizing the importance of deepening the horizons of cooperation. The leaders also explored ways to strengthen bilateral relations and discussed strategies for advancing and enhancing collaboration at various levels.
As the meeting concluded, Bishop Mar Antimos Jacques Yacoub and Ambassador Rita Herenskar expressed mutual optimism for the future and the positive impact that strengthened collaboration between the Diocese of Jerusalem and Hungary could bring to the region.
