Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE is a Pan-Orthodox Christian Society founded in 2007 and established under the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, 1955. Registration No: A.455/2010.

  • Meetings and Visits, Conferences, Honors and Awards

On the special invitation from the Interparliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy (I.A.O.), Dr. John G. Panagiotou, OCP Chairman, took part in its International Secretariat held in Limassol, Cyprus, between March 16 and 19, 2023.

With a special invitation from the Finnish Embassy in India, Donn George Varghese, Secretary of the Orthodox Cognate PAGE Society, conducted a visit to the Embassy on April 13, 2023. Mr. Varghese was received by Dr. Tito Gronow, Chargé d’Affaires of Finland to India (Deputy Ambassador).

On September 16, 2023, in Kottayam, the Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE (OCP) Society presented the Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE Award to Dr. Christine Chaillot. The award ceremony, presided over by Linto Paul Jacob, Chief Commissioner of the OCP Foundation, took place in Kottayam and featured the presence of Donn George Varghese, OCP Secretary and Spokesperson, and Abel Mathews Alex, Director of the Department of Public Relations and Information Services.

At the invitation of His Grace Bishop Alexis Trader of Alaska, OCP Chairman, Dr. John G. Panagiotou was the featured speaker at the OCA Diocese of Alaska Diocesan Assembly in October 2023.

In response to an invitation from the Saint Cyril and Methodius Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies Institute, and in partnership with the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate (DECR), the Secretary and Spokesperson of the Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE Society delivered a notable lecture on the theme “Future of Pan-Orthodoxy and Orthodoxy Cognate Page Society” on November 16, 2023.

  • Media and Journalism

OCP News Service and OCP Media Network continued to publish the latest developments from the Orthodox Christian world. OCP expanded its presence on platforms like Instagram, Thread, and YouTube in 2023.

  • Statements, Petitions, and Social Action

On behalf of the OCP Society, Donn George Varghese, Secretary of Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE, sent a letter of solidarity to His Holiness Abuna Mathias and the Holy Synod of Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church for their synodal decision on the recent split in the church. Acknowledging the solidarity letter, the official handle of the Office of Patriarchal Secretariat published it on social media.

In 2023, OCP activities covered the ongoing crisis in Ethiopia, Artsakh, and Jerusalem through several features.

  • Webinars and Videos

OCP YouTube celebrated the 1st anniversary of its flagship program, “Orthodox World this Week” (Orthodox news in the digital space), in February 2023.

The popular program “Pan-Orthodox Round Table” covered various issues in the Orthodox world through six episodes in 2023. Featured guests included Dragan Radojcin of Serbia, Rev. Father Panayiotis Papageorgiou Ph.D. of Trisagon Films, Hierodeacon Peter of the Department of External Church Relations of Moscow Patriarchate, Dr. Christine Chaillot (world-renowned Pan-Orthodox Activist), and Rev. Archimandrite Garegin Hambardzumyan of Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

Two special features with the OCP Chairman covered pertinent topics such as “State of Orthodox Christianity in North America” and “The Restoration of the Role of Deaconess in the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.

A special featured session by Bishop Serge A. Thériault of the Christian Catholic Church of Canada was also published in November.

  • Networking and Associations

OCP Society signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tewahedo Media Center (TMC) to foster activities in various areas, including media, academics, freedom of expression and freedom of choice, geo-strategy of religion, Christian persecution, Pan-Orthodox dialogue, and any other areas of mutual interest.

  • Academics 

The Center for Orthodox Studies (COS), an autonomous center under the Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE, has launched its “The Orthodox Epignosis” certification course. The course is led by Rev. Fr. Dr. Jossi Jacob, Chair of COS, as the chief resource person.

  • The OCP Society Leadership

The OCP General Body was held in May 2023.
