Belgrade – Serbia: Patriarch Porfirije Archbishop of Pec and Patriarch of Serbia celebrated the feast of Nativity ( January 07, 2023)  liturgy at the Church of Saint Sava in Vračar.

His Holiness was assisted by Bishops Alexey, Bishop Dositej, and Bishop Stefan. The festive gathering was attended by the First Deputy Prime Minister in charge of foreign policy and security and the Minister of Foreign Affairs – Ivica Dačić, Director of the Administration for Cooperation with Churches and Religious Communities Dr. Vladimir Roganović, Member of Parliament Sanja Lakić, Prince Filip and Princess Danica Karađorđević.

Patriarch in his address mentioned issues in Kosovo and Metohija. HH also mentioned injured Miloš and Stefan from Štrpce who was shot by Kosovo Security Force.

I wish everyone peace, joy and love. I want to repeat this time that we remember all our brothers and sisters who suffered wherever they live – all Orthodox Christians. We pray that God will bring his peace to all people, but especially in Kosovo and Metohija. Today’s joy was clouded by misfortune. Someone shot at two young people, Miloš and Stefan from Štrpce. May the Lord grant with his love and trust that the evil that befell them does not disturb the joy of this night, the joy of the arrival of Christ among us. May he give strength to them and their relatives, but also to the other brothers and sisters in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as to all others who live with them, peace, peace which is the ultimate value. Happy holiday! Peace of God, Christ is born! (from HH address).
