Patriarch opens Orthodox forum

Moscow Time 4/11/2012 Accompanied by officials and an array of mainstream faith leaders, Patriarch Kirill has opened an Orthodox exhibition and forum dedicated to the 1,150th anniversary of Russia’s statehood, the 400th anniversary of the expulsion of invaders from Poland, the 200th anniversary of Russia’s victory over Napoleon and the 75th anniversary of the Soviet victory in Stalingrad. He said he hopes these jubilees will turn the Russians to their culture and history and help them strengthen ethnic, confessional and social harmony in their country.
