‘Patriarch’ Abune Kerlos (Cyril) Begins his Visit to Egypt

Cairo-Egypt: Abune Cyril I, ‘Patriarch’ of the Eritrean Orthodox Church began his maiden visit to Egypt on 06 July 2022. He was received at the airport and the delegation accompanying him by a high-ranking Coptic ecclesiastical delegation, consisting of His Grace Bishop Thomas, Bishop of Qusiya, His Grace Bishop Beymen, Bishop of Naqada and Qus, Hegomen Monk Begimi Anba Bishoy, Hegomen Monk Angelos al-Naqadi, and Dr. Gerges Saleh.

The ‘Head’ of Eritrean Orthodox Church Writes to Pope Tawadros II, Urge for Meaningful Ties Between Churches

Abune Cyril is accompanied by Abune John and Abune Basil in the Eritrean delegation. The whole schedule of the visit includes the high-level meeting with Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria. He is also expected to visit Churches, monasteries, and holy places in Cairo and its surroundings.
