Tbilisi -Georgia: The “Green Georgia” foundation, established by His Holiness and Blessed Ilia II, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, has kicked off its spring activities with a tree-planting ceremony. Students and teachers from the “Modern Education Academy,” a private school in Tbilisi, joined the initiative on Makhata Mountain.

The foundation, led by Executive Secretary Gocha Aronishidze, provided cedar saplings for the planting. These saplings were cultivated by the Public College of Decorative Horticulture of the Georgian Patriarchate, headed by Igumenia Tekle Sikharulidze.

This collaborative effort reflects the “Green Georgia” foundation’s commitment to environmental stewardship and community engagement. By planting trees, the students and teachers are not only contributing to a greener and healthier environment but also fostering a sense of connection to the land and its natural resources.

The “Green Georgia” foundation’s spring initiative is a positive step towards a more sustainable future for Georgia. The organization’s dedication to environmental protection serves as an inspiration for all citizens to take an active role in caring for their surroundings.
