Bishop Luke of Sothern Farce Delivered Lectures on Orthodox Monasticism in Sisters of Bethlehem Catholic Monastery in France

Paris – France: On 31 August 2022, His Eminence Anba Luke, Bishop of Southern France and the French sector of Switzerland, visited the Convent of the Sisters of Bethlehem in France, at the invitation of Soeur Anne Bruno, the abbot of the monastery.

His Eminence gave two lectures. The first lecture dealt with the virtue of humility in the Orthodox monastic thought, while in the second lecture he dealt with the subject of “God’s Word in the Coptic Monastic Life”.

The number of attendees was 40 modern nuns and nuns from the monasteries of the Sisters of Bethlehem in France, Poland, Austria, Spain, and Mexico. His Eminence delivered the two French lectures and answered questions, and there was a simultaneous translation into German, Spanish, and Polish.
