Greek Orthodox Church of Antioch Welcomes Macedonian Church Into Canonical Communion

Damascus – Syria: The Holy Synod of the Greek Orthodox Church of Antioch joyfully welcomed the decisions to end the schism and enter into canonical and eucharistic communion with the Macedonian Orthodox Church on 18th October 2022 in Balamand. The Synod expressed their aspiration that the general Orthodox consensus about the name and legal status of this Church will be reached as soon as possible. The Synod was chaired by Patriarch John X. 

Patriarch Porifirije of Serbia Presented the Tomos of Autocephaly to the Macedonian Orthodox Church – Ohrid Archbishopric

The Holy Synod of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church unanimously recognized the Autocephaly of the Macedonian Orthodox Church on June 2022. Later Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople and Bulgarian Orthodox Church also accepted the autocephaly of the Macedonian church.

The Serbian Orthodox Church has recognized the canonical status of the Macedonian Orthodox Church
