Ohrid- North Macedonia: Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia and a Serbian Orthodox delegation arrived on 20/06/2022 at the Kalista Monastery near Struga, where Archbishop Stefan of Ohrid and Macedonia, archbishops, priests, monks and hundreds of faithful solemnly welcomed the delegation. The monastery dedicated to the Birth of the Most Holy Mother of God in the village of Kaliste, on the shores of Lake Ohrid, west of Struga, is adorned with a miraculous icon of the Mother of God. The Patriarch and the Serbian delegation also visited the Church of St. Clement and St. Panteleimon in the village of Plaosnik on the shores of Lake Ohrid.

The Macedonian Orthodox Church is the largest Christian Church in North Macedonia, formerly within the Serbian Orthodox Patriarchate. By June 2022, with the issuance of the Tomos and Synodal Act by the Ecumenical Patriarchate and by the issuance of the Tomos of Autocephaly by the Serbian Patriarchate (May 2022), the Macedonian Orthodox Church – Orhid Archbishopric have become an autocephalous Orthodox Church within the Eastern Orthodox communion.
