Patriarch Kirill Congratulates President Aliyev on Azerbaijan Election Victory

Moscow – Russia: His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia extended his congratulations to President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan on his re-election victory. In a statement released today, Patriarch Kirill commended President Aliyev’s leadership and the trust placed in him by the Azerbaijani people.

“Please accept my heartfelt congratulations on your convincing victory in the recent elections of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan,” stated Patriarch Kirill in his message.

He lauded President Aliyev’s long-standing service and the recognition he received from the electorate. “Your re-election to the highest government post testifies to the popular trust that you have earned over many years of successful leadership of the country,” the Patriarch remarked.

Highlighting the significance of the election results, Patriarch Kirill noted, “The overwhelming number of votes cast for you confirms that people see you as an experienced and authoritative national leader, who is always attentive to their needs and aspirations, and who is able to effectively resolve pressing issues of domestic and foreign policy.”

Expressing his well wishes for the future, Patriarch Kirill offered, “I wish you strength of mental and physical strength, the help of the All-Merciful Creator and blessed success in your further service in the responsible post of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.”
