Yerevan-Armenia: In a resolute response to the distressing events surrounding the “Cow’s Garden” estate of the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem, the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin has issued a strong condemnation against the recent acts of violence.
On December 28,2023, a group of over three dozen armed individuals forcefully invaded the “Cow’s Garden” territory, subjecting clergymen of the Patriarchate and members of the local Armenian community to physical injuries as a result of their violent actions.
The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin has expressed deep concern, highlighting that the provocateurs are attempting to seize the estate through acts of terror, threats, and violence, in clear violation of established legal procedures.
The statement firmly condemns the criminal acts, urging the Israeli authorities to respond promptly and legally to ensure accountability for those responsible. The Mother See hopes for decisive action to prevent the recurrence of such incidents in the future.
In a show of solidarity, the Mother See extends its support to the military Brotherhood of Saints Hakobyan of Jerusalem and the entire Armenian community. In this challenging time, the Mother See invokes divine intervention, seeking God’s help for the affected parties. The Mother See remains committed to safeguarding the rights and well-being of the Armenian community in Jerusalem.
