Mexican Senate Recognizes the Armenian Genocide

Mexico City – Mexico: Senate of Mexico Recognizes the Armenian Genocide recognized the 1915 Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire, through a document adopted on February 8, 2023. Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly Alen Simonyan expressed gratitude to the senate of Mexico through a tweet that read “I express our deep gratitude to the Senate of the United Mexican States for adopting a document that recognizes the Armenian Genocide. This is an example of adherence to human values and rights”.

Armenian Genocide was one of the worst crimes against humanity, committed by the Ottoman Turks against the Armenian people in the Ottoman Empire during the W.W. I. Syriacs, Arameans, Assyrians, and Greeks were killed in large numbers as well.
