Catholicos Karekin II Received Youths from Artsakh

Yerevan-Armenia: H.H. Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch, and Catholicos of All Armenians, received a group of youths from Artsakh at Holy Etchmiadzin on September 8, 2023. The group included students who are in Armenia to pursue higher education at various institutions in Yerevan.

During the meeting, the young Armenians presented their initiatives aimed at drawing the attention of the Armenian and international communities to the humanitarian and security challenges in Artsakh. In response, His Holiness expressed his paternal love and blessings for the young citizens of Artsakh. He commended their efforts and courageous spirit in facing the challenges that Artsakh currently confronts.

His Holiness, while expressing concern about the situation in Artsakh, encouraged the young people to continue their steadfast struggle for the right to a free, independent, and secure life for the people of Artsakh. The Patriarch of All Armenians also expressed confidence that, with the help of God and the support of the international community, the youth of Armenia will overcome the challenges and trials they face.

At the end of the meeting, the Armenian Patriarch addressed questions from the Artsakh youth. These questions pertained to the resolution of the Artsakh issue and the efforts undertaken by the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin to preserve the spiritual and cultural heritage of Artsakh
