Catholicos Aram I Received US Ambassador to Lebanon

Antelias – Lebanon: His Holiness Aram I Catholicos of Cilicia received the US Ambassador to Lebanon Dorothy C. Sheaat Catholicate on January 19, 2023. Catholicos pointed out issues in Nagorno-Karabakh in the meeting.

According to the official statement:

The meeting, which lasted more than an hour, was an opportunity to make a general assessment of Lebanon’s presence and to specifically address the presidential election and the socio-economic crisis.

His Holiness also referred to the present worrying situation in Artsakh and suggested to the ambassador that the United States provide the necessary assistance in the field of reopening the Berdzor Corridor, motivated by humanitarian concern.
