Archimandrite Nikandr (Pylyshyn) Consecrated as the Bishop of the Naro-Fominsk and Vicar of His Holiness the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia

Moscow- Russia: Archimandrite Nikandr (Pylyshyn) was consecrated as Bishop of the Naro-Fominsk and Vicar of His Holiness the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow on 18 October 2023. Archimandrite Nikandr (Pylyshyn) was elected by the Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church on 11 October 2023.
Bishop Nikandr (Pylyshyn) of Naro-Fominsk, Vicar of His Holiness the Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus was born on 09 September 1986, in Shakhty.
Chairman of the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society S.V. Stepashin; Honorary Scientific Director of the Russian Federal Nuclear Center – All-Russian Research Institute of Experimental Physics R.I. Ilkaev; Head of the Secretariat of the World Russian People’s Council S.Yu. Rudov where present in the temple during the consecration.
At the small entrance, by decree of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill, based on the determination of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church of October 11 of this year. ( magazine No. 92 ) Bishop Arseny of Pskov and Porkhov, in connection with his appointment as head of the Pskov Metropolis, was elevated to the rank of metropolitan.
