Kyiv – Ukraine: His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine consecrated Archimandrite Benjamin (Voloshchuk) as the Bishop of Boiarka, a vicar of the Kyiv Metropolitanate and administrator of parishes of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church abroad on January 03, 2023, at the church of Venerable Agapitos of the Kyiv Caves in the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.

Archimandrite Benjamin (Voloshchuk) was born on November 05, 1961 in in the village of Zeleny Gay, Novoselytsky District, Chernivtsi Oblast. On December 20, 2022, the Holy Synod of the UOC adopted a decision on the election of a bishop for Ukrainian parishes abroad and the ordination of Archimandrite Benjamin as Bishop of Boyarsky, Vicar of the Kyiv Metropolitanate. Archimandrite Benjamin (Voloshchuk) was a clergyman of the Chernivtsi and Bukovyna Diocese
