Ambassador of Georgia to Romania Visited the Romanian Patriarchate

Bucharest-Romania: Ambassador of Georgia to Romania, Tamar Beruchashvili visited Romanian Patriarchate on February 01, 2023.  His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church received Her Excellency to the Patriarchal Residence.

According to Basilica News:

Ambassador Tamar Beruchashvili conveyed to His Beatitude Father Patriarch Daniel the greetings of His Beatitude Patriarch Ilia II of Georgia and thanks for the congratulations sent by the Patriarch of Romania on the occasion of his 90th birthday, as well as appreciation to His Beatitude, for the rich and fruitful activity, both bilaterally and at the pan-Orthodox level.

On this occasion, His Beatitude Father Patriarch Daniel emphasized the traditional friendly relations between the two countries, as well as the cooperation and fraternal ties between the Romanian Orthodox Church and the Georgian Orthodox Church, exemplary inspired by the personality and work of the great Orthodox hierarch originally from Georgia, the Holy Hierarch Martyr Antim the Ivirean, Metropolitan of Wallachia, a symbol of Orthodox solidarity in difficult times.

During the meeting, the need to intensify cooperation at the level of student exchanges and pilgrimages to the holy places in Romania and Georgia, for better mutual knowledge, was highlighted.
