Students of Kyiv Theological Schools Began Making Trench Candles for the Armed Forces

Kyiv – Ukraine: On February 27, 2024, with the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphrius of Kyiv and All Ukraine, the Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary together with the Synodal Department of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church on social and humanitarian issues started another project to help servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is reported by the Information and Educational Department of the UOC with reference to the press service of the KDAiS.
Students will make trench candles for Ukrainian servicemen. The head of the Social and Humanitarian Department of the UOC, Archpriest Serhii Ekshiyan, said that there are plans to hand over 1,000 candles to the military.
Parishioners of the Metropolitan Church of the Hieromartyr Makary, Metropolitan of Kyiv, who, at the initiative of the rector of the temple Archpriest Vladyslav Sofiychuk, constantly help the military, taught a new craft to the future priests.
“Students of Kyiv theological schools showed great interest and enthusiasm in the production of candles,” KDAiS shared.
