Warsaw-Poland: The Chancellery of the Orthodox Metropolitan of Warsaw and All Poland announces the content of the appeal issued by His Eminence the Most Blessed Sawa, Metropolitan of Warsaw and All Poland in connection with the ongoing war in the Holy Land.
Full Statement/ Appeal:
Concerned and moved by the current situation in the Holy Land, from the first moments of the tragic armed conflict, we raise fervent prayers to the Most High and Almighty God for grace for this Holy Place. We ask the Lord of all creation to grant peace to the land where our Savior Jesus Christ was born and to grant peace and mutual respect to all the inhabitants of the region.
Recalling the call of the Apostle Paul “be at peace with all people” (Rom 12:18), we appeal to all those who can influence the situation in the region to stop the destructive activities. As disciples of Christ, we are against all conflicts that result in people dying; We strongly condemn hostilities.
We express solidarity in the trauma of war with the victims of the conflict in the Holy Land and join the pain of the families of those killed.
Lord Almighty, bestow Your grace on the Holy Land and accept the souls of the dead into Your Kingdom.
