Serbian Orthodox Delegation Visits Romanian Patriarchate

Bucharest-Romania: A high-level delegation from the Serbian Orthodox Church, led by Archbishop Lukijan of Buda, visited the Romanian Patriarchate on Tuesday. The delegation was received by Patriarchal Vicar Bishop Varlaam Ploieșteanul.
During the meeting, both sides expressed their commitment to strengthening the historical ties between the Romanian and Serbian Orthodox Churches. They discussed the importance of inter-church dialogue and cooperation in promoting Christian values and addressing contemporary challenges.
Archbishop Lukijan praised the Romanian Orthodox Church’s efforts in building the Cathedral of the Salvation of the Nation, a significant symbol of faith and national identity. He also commended the vibrant spiritual life of Romanian Orthodox parishes, noting the strong presence of believers in churches.
The Serbian delegation’s visit to Romania coincides with the consecration of the new Serbian Embassy headquarters in Bucharest. This event further underscores the deepening diplomatic and cultural relations between the two countries.
