Romanian Orthodox Priest Wins Excellence in Social Work Award

Bucharest-Romania: Fr. Adrian Stănulică, the president of the Vasiliada Association of the Metropolitan Church of Oltenia, was awarded “Personalities who stood out in the period 2020-2021” in the field of social assistance at the National Gala of Excellence in Social Assistance on 18/3/22, reports Basilica News Agency. The Vasiliada Association also received the ‘Distinction of Excellence’ for supporting the social work profession.

The Association and its leadership along with over 100 social workers, psychologists, priests, teachers and volunteers are involved in social actions, engaged in over 30 community partnerships, with public and private institutions, Over 200 kids in rural areas were given free medicine and access to online classes, over 300 lids were provided with remedial education and over 3500 people were given various support.
