Cairo and Moscow: As the world marked the Glorious Feast of Nativity, significant celebrations unfolded in Russia and Egypt, with President Vladimir Putin and President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi leading events that underscored the importance of unity, faith, and compassion.

In Russia, President Vladimir Putin participated in the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior before visiting the Church of the Great Martyr George the Victorious on Poklonnaya Hill. During the celebration, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill blessed pectoral crosses and icons for servicemen engaged in the ongoing special military operation (SVO). President Putin stated that these sacred items would be delivered to commanders of troops performing critical tasks in the SVO zone.

In Egypt, President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi attended the Nativity Feast Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ in the New Administrative Capital. He extended his greetings to His Holiness Pope Tawadros II and all Egyptian Christians. Welcomed warmly by church leaders and worshippers, President Sisi shared heartfelt moments with attendees, shaking hands and offering well-wishes. In his address, he conveyed his hopes for peace and safety for all Egyptians, stressing the nation’s unity and resilience.

“God is present, and nothing in this world happens without His will,” President Sisi said, reaffirming the strength of love and understanding among Egyptians. He praised Pope Tawadros, saying, “His Holiness the Pope holds a special place in my heart and great respect. May God protect him, and protect all of you.”

These celebrations in Moscow and Cairo highlighted the universal values of love, faith, and solidarity during the Nativity season. Both leaders emphasized the power of unity in overcoming challenges and fostering peace, demonstrating the enduring spirit of hope and goodwill that transcends borders and cultures.
