Pope Tawadros II Receives Representative of Patriarch of Jerusalem

Cairo – Egypt: On December 12,2024, His Holiness Pope Tawadros II received at the Papal Residence in Cairo the Reverend Archimandrite Ieronymos, representative of Patriarch of Jerusalem for the Greek Orthodox, representing His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III, in Greece. He was accompanied by Reverend Archimandrite Damaskinos Azraei, Abbot of the Patriarchal Monastery of St. George for the Greek Orthodox in Old Cairo.
During the meeting, His Holiness Pope Tawadros II welcomed the guest visiting Egypt and conveyed his love and appreciation for His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos, Patriarch of Jerusalem, the Holy Land, and All Jordan for the Greek Orthodox. His Holiness also praised the strong and cordial relations between the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria and its sister church, the Greek Orthodox Church of Alexandria and All Africa. Reverend Archimandrite Damaskinos Azraei conveyed to His Holiness Pope Tawadros II the love and appreciation of His Beatitude Patriarch Theodoros II, Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa for the Greek Orthodox.
