Budapest-Hungary: His Holiness Pope Tawadros II met His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, in Budapest on August 21,2023.

His Holiness and His Highness exchanged words of greeting and affection, and His Holiness the Pope thanked His Highness for the care received by the Copts in the State of Qatar and the interest in the Coptic Church in the capital. Qatari Doha.

The meeting was also attended by the Egyptian Ambassador to Hungary, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy.
