Patriarch Porfirije Converse with the Political Leaders of Montenegro

Belgrade-Serbia: Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia had a discussion with various political leaders from Montenegro at their request regarding the situation of the Serbian Church in the country. He spoke with Mr. Dritan Abazović, the Deputy Prime Minister, Dr. Vesna Bratić, the Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports,  Mr. Vladimir Joković, the President of the Socialist People’s Party,  leaders of the Democratic Front and several others.

The Patriarch stated his understanding of the issue of equality of churches and religious communities. He hoped that the proposed Agreement will be signed between the Serbian Church and the State of Montenegro as soon as the political situation normalizes.
