Patriarch Porfirije Celebrated Saint Sava’s Day in New York

New York – United States: Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia celebrated Saint Sava’s Day at the Serbian Club in New York on January 27, 2023. Patriarch was co-celebrated by His Grace Mitrofan of Canada, where the faithful joined to celebrate the feast day of the first Serbian archbishop.
Patriarch Porfirije started his address by: “We are rejoicing today because our entire Serbian race is rejoicing wherever it lives. Temples in honor of Saint Sava have been erected from Vancouver to New Zealand. Saint Sava is celebrated today on every continent, first of all by his spiritual descendants, his children who were born in Saint Sava’s cradle, but it is also celebrated by all Orthodox people because Saint Sava is a saint of God”.
