Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II Received Catholicos Aram

Beirut– Lebanon: On March 23, 2024, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received his brother in Christ His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, at the Patriarchal Residence in Atchaneh.
His Holiness Catholicos Aram was accompanied by His Eminence Nareg Alemezian, Ecumenical Officer at the Armenian Orthodox Catholicosate, and Rev. Fr. Sarkis Aprahamian.
During the meeting, their Holinesses discussed matters or relevance for the two churches. They spoke about the different issues that affect the Christian presence in the Middle East. They also discussed the challenges in the field of the ecumenical relations as well as the results of the theological dialogues of the oriental orthodox churches with other churches.
Their Eminences Archbishops: Mor Severius Roger Akhrass, Patriarchal Vicar for Syriac Studies, and Mor Augeen Al-Khoury Nemat, Patriarchal Secretary, also attended the meeting.
