Patriarch Kirill Prays for the Restoration of Peace in Ukraine

Moscow-Russia: On the Sunday of Forgiveness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral Church of Christ the Savior in Moscow. The primate of the Russian Church offered prayers for the speedy restoration of peace. After the liturgy, he stated that:

“Vladyka Many-merciful Lord, Jesus Christ, our God, through the prayers of Our All-Pure Lady Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary, the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Grand Duke Vladimir and Grand Duchess Olga, the Holy New Martyrs and Confessors of our Church, our venerable and God-bearing fathers Anthony and Theodosius, the Kiev-Pechersk wonderworkers , Sergius, hegumen of Radonezh, Job of Pochaev, Seraphim of Sarov and all the saints, we deliver our prayer for the Church and for the people.

From a single font of Baptism, under the auspicious holy prince Vladimir, we, Your children, have received grace, and established the spirit of brotherly love and peace in our hearts forever! Fill us even in Thee with faith, hope and love, as if in all our countries with one mouth and one heart we confess to You, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, with Your Father without Beginning, Your Most Holy Good and Life-giving Spirit forever and ever. Amen”.

However, the print reported that Patriarch Kirill acks Russia’s war against Ukraine. The Moscow times reported that Patriarch Krill appears to blame Gay Parade for Ukraine’s suffering.
