Too swamped to make it to church?
A Romanian company has come up with a novel solution: for a fee, believers can now submit their prayers online to priests who will read the prayers out during church services.
The service costs $1.44 US per day or $34 online per month, according to the Associated Press.
While Romanian Orthodox Christians used to writing down their prayers in church are undoubtedly pleased at the added convenience of praying remotely, the Romanian Orthodox church is less impressed – cautioning people that praying online could lead to laziness.
Do you share the Romanian Orthodox church’s view of submitting prayers online? Why or why not? Would you ever pay to submit your prayers online?
