Metropolitan Veniamin of Belarus Meets with Japanese Ambassador

Minsk-Belarus: On April 19, 2024, at the Minsk Diocesan Administration, a meeting was held between the Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus, Metropolitan Veniamin of Minsk and Zaslavl, with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Belarus, Mr. Hiroyuki Yamamoto and his wife Mrs. Kanami Yamamoto.
Previously, the distinguished guests were given an excursion to the Minsk Theological Academy and the Holy Spirit Cathedral, during which they got acquainted with the main historical milestones in the formation of the Christian faith in the Belarusian lands, the features of the Belarusian Orthodox culture, as well as the educational and theological activities of theological schools.
The meeting between the Primate of the Belarusian Orthodox Church and the Ambassador Extraordinary Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Belarus was attended by representatives of the capital parish of the church in honor of St. Nicholas of Japan – rector, Archpriest Pavel Serdyuk and head of the spiritual and educational club of Japanese culture Anthony Tanaka.
The conversation took place in a friendly and warm atmosphere. The parties discussed a number of topics of mutual interest. At the end, the Patriarchal Exarch and Mr. Hiroyuki Yamamoto exchanged good wishes and memorable gifts.
