Malankara Church Elects Seven Metropolitan-Designates

Malankara-Kerala: The Malankara Christian Association, the apex body of the Malankara Church (Indian Orthodox Church) has elected seven Metropolitan-designates.

Fr Abraham Thomas, Fr Kochuparampil Geevarghese, Fr Reji Geevarghese, Fr P C Thomas, Fr Dr Varghese K Joshua, Fr Vinod George, and Fr Zachariah Ninan were elected on the 25th of February at Kolencherry in Kerala. H H Marhtoma Mathews III (Catholicos-Mooppan and Malankara Metropolitan) presided over the association.

The Metropolitan designates were elected through an online voting system for the first time in the history of the Malankara Church.
