Tbilisi -Georgia: His Holiness Ilia II, the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, celebrated his 91st birthday surrounded by well-wishers, including holy synodal members, clergy, nuns, and parish representatives. The attendees extended warm congratulations to the esteemed religious leader, expressing gratitude for his enduring contributions to both the country and the church.

In return, the Catholicos-Patriarch received heartfelt wishes for continued health and longevity, acknowledging his pivotal role over the decades. The gathering emphasized the significance of Ilia II’s leadership and the profound impact he has had on the Georgian church and nation.

During the celebration, the venerable Catholicos-Patriarch extended his blessings to all of Georgia, offering greetings for the upcoming Christmas and New Year. The 46th anniversary of the enthronement of His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, was celebrated on December 25, 2023.
