Former Orthodox Christian Becomes the Yougest Bishop Consecrated in Church of England

London-UK: Rt Revd Malayil Lukose Varghese Muthalaly (Saju) became the youngest bishop consecrated by the Archbishop Justin Welby of Canterbury for the Church of England at the St Paul’s Cathedral in London on the 25th of January 2022.

Aged 43 Fr Saji has been consecrated as the Bishop of Loughborough in the diocese of Leicester. He is the second Indian-born Bishop in Church of England.

Interestgly Fr Saju was born an Orthodox Christian in Kerala.  He became a priest in 2009. He was earlier serving as the Vicar of St Mark’s Gillingham in Kent.
