Bulgarian Red Cross and Metropolis of Sofia Join Hands to Help Ukrainian Refugees

Sofia-Bulgaria: The Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC) and the Sofia Metropolis of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church will cooperate in helping the victims of the conflict in Ukraine, through the National Charitable Campaign of the BRC. The leadership of the Bulgarian Red Cross and the Bishop of Belogradchik Polycarp, the Vicar of the Metropolitan of Sofia, agreed the same in a recent working meeting.

The Metropolis of Sofia will provide accommodation for about 80 refugees from Ukraine in some of the monasteries in the Sofia Diocese. Donation boxes will be placed by the Charity department of the Metropolis in 46 churches in the diocese. All funds raised from the donation campaign will be donated to the Bulgarian Red Cross to help the victims of the conflict.
