Ambassador of Serbia Conveys Serbian Patriarch’s Greetings with Metropolitan Seraphim of Japan

Tokyo-Japan: Metropolitan Seraphim of Tokyo and Metropolitan of Japan received a special gift from the Serbian Orthodox Church on Thursday, January 23rd. Her Excellency Aleksandra Kovač, the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Japan, presented Metropolitan Seraphim with an icon of Saint Sava, the first Archbishop of Serbia.

The icon, painted by a Serbian iconographer with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Porfirije, Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church, was specifically created to commemorate Metropolitan Seraphim’s inauguration. Patriarch Porfirije entrusted the icon to Ambassador Kovač during Metropolitan Seraphim’s visit to Serbia at the end of last year. The presentation took place at the Archdiocese in Tokyo.
