Moscow Theological Academy and Serbian Theological School in Chicago Sign Cooperation Agreement

Moscow- Russia: From September 23 to 29, 2024, Archimandrite Sergije (Puskar), abbot of the Protection of the Most Holy Mother of God Monastery New Gračanica in Chicago (Serbian Orthodox Eparchy of New Gračanica and Midwestern America), Vice-Rector and Professor of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox School of Theology in Chicago, and an alumnus of the Academy, visited the Moscow Theological Academy.

The main purpose of the visit was to present his book “The Life, Missionary Work, and Teachings of Saint Nikolaj (Velimirović) of Serbia” published by the Moscow Theological Academy Press.

On September 28, Bishop Kirill of Sergiev Posad and Dmitrov, Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, and Archimandrite Sergije (Puskar) signed a cooperation agreement between the theological schools. According to the Moscow Theological Academy website, the cooperation will involve organizing joint events, guest lectures, and other activities of mutual interest.

The meeting was attended by the Secretary of the Rector of the Academy, Hieromonk Damian (Voronov), and the Rector’s Assistant for International Cooperation, Director of the Moscow Theological Academy Press, Deacon Dmitry Serov.
