Ohrid- Macedonia: The Holy Synod of Bishops of the Macedonian Orthodox Church – Ohrid Archdiocese (MOC-OA) has expressed unwavering support for the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, which has faced severe persecution and administrative abolition by the Ukrainian Parliament.

In a statement released following their regular working session on September 12, the Synod condemned Bill 8371, which aims to deprive millions of Ukrainian believers of their fundamental right to religious affiliation and the practice of their faith.

The Synod expressed solidarity with His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy, the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, and all the faithful people of Ukraine. They offered prayers for their strength and perseverance in overcoming these trials.

Furthermore, the Synod emphasized the importance of unity among all Local Orthodox Churches, recognizing them as integral parts of the Body of Christ.
