1,200 New Believers Join Orthodoxy in Ethiopia

Addis Ababa- Ethiopia: On Saturday, July 13, 2024, 1,200 new believers were baptized in Dasenech District of Southern Omo in Ethiopia by a delegation led by His Grace Abune Filipos, Archbishop of South Omo and Ari Zones and Head of Holy Trinity University, in Mermerte. The joint missionary efforts of the diocese, the district’s diocesan office, and Mahibere Kidusan aided in the catechization of the converts.

A foundation stone was also placed by His Grace for the Church of the Holy Trinity to be built in the locality.
