Moscow- Russia: Archimandrite Theodosius (Shitov) was consecrated as the Bishop of Alatyr and Poretsk at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow on June 16,2024. His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’ led the consecration with members of Holy Synod.

Archimandrite Theodosius (Shitov) was elected by the Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church on May 30,2024.

Bishop Theodosius (Shitov) of Alatyr and Poretsk was born on October 30, 1968 in Cheboksary.
