Belarusian Orthodox Church Signed Cooperation Agreement with The Ministry of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus

Minsk-Belarus: Belarusian Orthodox Church and the Department for Relations with the Ministry of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus signed a cooperation agreement on August 02, 2023. Belarusian Orthodox Church was represented by Metropolitan Veniamin of Minsk and Zaslavl and the Ministry of Sports and Tourism, Sergei Kovalchuk. The signing was held in the White Hall of the Memorial Church in honor of all saints and in memory of the victims who served to save our Fatherland after the prayer service before the beginning of the 2nd Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) games in Belarus.

According to the official statement: “The Belarusian Orthodox Church has been cooperating with the Ministry of Sports and Tourism since 2004. Interaction is conducted in three directions, which include patriotic and spiritual and moral education; interaction in the development of sports and tourism, including pilgrimage routes; social and psychological work”.
