Russian Monastic Delegation Visited the Monastery of St. Anthony

Cairo – Egypt: Within the framework of the strong relationship between the Coptic Orthodox Church and the Russian Orthodox Church, and according to the protocol agreed upon between the two churches, in the exchange of monastic, ecclesiastical, and educational delegations, a Russian monastic delegation visited the monastery of St. Anthony in the Red Sea on 23 October 2022.

The delegation was received by His Eminence Anba Justus Head of the Monastery. and monks.

The delegation was headed by His Eminence Bishop Chigansky Leonty of Szyransky which also included Mother Julianya (Kalida), the deputy head of the delegation, and a group of heads of Russian nun’s monasteries. Rev. Stephan (Igominov) of the Department of External Church Relations of Russia also accompanied the delegation.
