Patriarch Porfirije Enthroned on the Throne of Ancient Patriarchate of Pec

Pec – Kosovo: Serbian Patriarch Porfirije was enthroned on the throne of the Patriarchate of Pec on 14 October 2022 after the holy liturgy that was led by the Patriarch in the ancient monastery of the Patriarchate of Peć.
The enthronement service was attended by members of the holy synod of the Serbian Orthodox church. The enthronement service was led by Metropolitans Chrysostom of Dabro-Bosnia and Ioanniki of Montenegro and Littoral.
Archbishop of Ohrid and Metropolitan Jovan of Skopje, Metropolitan Hilarion of Budapest and Hungary from the Moscow Patriarchate, Metropolitan Peter of Prespano-Pelagon from the Macedonian Orthodox Church – Ohrid Archdiocese also attended the enthronement.
Patriarch Porfirije was elected as Patriarch of Serbia on 18th February 2021 and was enthroned on the throne of the Serbian Patriarchate on 19 February 2021 in Belgrade.
The enthronement ceremony that was scheduled in the Ancient Patriarchate of Pec in 2021 May was postponed due to epidemiological measures. This led to the enthronement at the ancient patriarchate on 14 October 2022.
