Tbilisi -Georgia: On July 14th, 2024, 1,200 children were added as Godchildren of His Holiness Catholicos-Patriarch Ilia II during the 69th universal baptism held at Holy Trinity Cathedral. This massive ceremony increased the total number of the Catholicos-Patriarch’s Godchildren to over 48,000.
The Patriarch, a beloved and trusted figure who has guided the Church for more than 40 years, initiated mass baptisms in January 2008.
