Athens- Greece: Archimandrite Serapion Michalakis was consecrated as Metropolitan of Paramythia on 23 October 2023 and Archimandrite Irenaios Laftsis was consecrated as Metropolitan of Florina on 22 October 2023 at the Holy Metropolitan Church of Athens. New metropolitans were consecrated by HB Ieronymos II of Athens and All Greece which was co-celebrated by members of the Holy Synod.
Both Metropolitans were elected by the Holy Synod of the Hierarchy of the Church of Greece on 09 October 2023.
