Three Dioceses to be Created in Central American Archdiocese of Syrian Orthodox Church

Lebanon: HH Patriarch Ignatius Aphrem II through his apostolic encyclical announced the creation of three new dioceses under the Central American Archdiocese of the Syrian Orthodox Church. The decision was made during the synodal session between 5 June to 10 June 2023.

According to the encyclical, the decision was taken for better pastoral care among the growing Central American Archdiocese. HE. Mor Yacob (Santiago) Eduardo Aguirre currently leads the Central American Archdiocese.
