Cairo – Egypt: A high-level delegation from the Russian Orthodox Church, led by Metropolitan Constantine of Zaraisk, Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, arrived in Egypt on November 7th. The visit, blessed by Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, aims to deepen the spiritual and cultural ties between the Russian Orthodox and Coptic Orthodox Churches.
The delegation, comprised of prominent figures from Russian Orthodox monasteries and theological institutions, will embark on a pilgrimage to significant Christian sites in Egypt, including the Nitrian Desert, the monasteries of St. Anthony the Great and St. Paul the Great, and the holy places of Cairo.
This visit is a continuation of the ongoing dialogue between the two Churches, which has been strengthened through mutual visits of monastic delegations since 2015. The exchange seeks to foster understanding, cooperation, and shared spiritual experiences.
The delegation’s visit is expected to further solidify the bonds between the two ancient Churches and contribute to the promotion of interfaith harmony and Christian unity.
