Pope Tawadros II Receives the Coptic Delegation Traveling to Russia

Cairo – Egypt: His Holiness Pope Tawadros II received at the papal headquarters in Cairo on August 20,2024, the members of the church delegation traveling to Russia at the invitation of the Russian Orthodox Church, within the framework of the activities of the Joint Relations Committee between the two churches.

It is worth noting that in the past years, through the committee, delegations from the two churches exchanged visits to the other church, where monasteries, churches and educational institutions were visited, in order to learn about the monastic, pastoral, educational and service heritage and traditions between the two churches, where heads of monasteries, metropolitans, bishops, monks, nuns, deacons, academics, and male and female servants from the two churches were received for this purpose.
