Pope Tawadros II Receives Paraguay’s Ambassador to Egypt

Cairo -Egypt: H.H. Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria received Ambassador Victor Hugo Peña, the Ambassador of the Republic of Paraguay in Cairo in his Papal Residence on 13 December 2022.

According to the official statement, “the meeting came with the aim of getting acquainted, as the Ambassador presented an overview of the State of Paraguay and thanked H.H. for the good relationship between H.H. Pope Francis and the Catholic Church, and asked H.H. to pray for Paraguay and its people”.

H.H. also presented to the Ambassador an overview of the history of the Coptic Orthodox Church and Egypt and the good relationships of the Church with the Governments, Al Azhar and all other Churches.
