Pope Tawadros II Expresses Solidarity with Patriarch John X Amidst Syrian Crisis

Damascus – Syria: On December 26,2024, Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, made a phone call to Patriarch John X, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East for the Greek Orthodox.
During the call, Pope Tawadros II conveyed his heartfelt wishes for the upcoming Feasts and extended the unwavering solidarity of the Coptic Church to the Church of Antioch in light of the recent events in Syria. He offered prayers to God for the restoration of peace and tranquility.
Patriarch John X expressed his sincere gratitude to Pope Tawadros II for this display of fraternal support and conveyed the deep affection and respect the children of the Church of Antioch hold for the Coptic Church.
This phone call underscores the strong bond of unity and support between the Coptic Orthodox Church and the Greek Orthodox Church of Antioch.
