Pope Tawadros II Attends Police Academy Graduation Ceremony in Egypt

Cairo – Egypt: His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, the Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the Coptic Orthodox Church, attended the graduation ceremony of a new cohort of police college students at the Police Academy headquarters in New Cairo. The ceremony was held in the presence of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
The graduating students included those who completed the 4-year program, as well as those who earned a master’s degree in law (having previously obtained a bachelor’s degree in law). Female students who graduated with a master’s degree in law after completing both a bachelor’s degree in law and a bachelor’s degree in physical education were also honored. Additionally, male and female students from the Specialized Officers Department who received diplomas in crisis management graduated.
The ceremony also celebrated the graduation of students from African countries who were part of a scholarship program offered by the Egyptian Ministry of Interior.
The presence of Pope Tawadros II at the graduation ceremony signifies the close relationship between the Coptic Orthodox Church and the Egyptian government and highlights the importance of law enforcement and security in the country.
